Say you're reading, and you don't want your hands outside the blanket, or maybe you're holding your baby daughter and again, you'd like the warmth of a blanket (but don't have the energy to go all the way upstairs to put another sweatshirt on). I got a snuggie for Christmas from my dad. That's right, John McIntosh saw the infomercial, and thought that his wife, daughters and daughter-in-law would love them. And he was right! I think the Holliday family is not giving the snuggie a fair shot. PS - congrats on Ruby. Glad that she's home with you!
